Although covered in cobwebs the mouldings had dropped and were disjointed through movement and wear and tear through the years. Many areas had to be replaced and made good ready for decoration. ![]() |

Etwall Lodge, Derbyshire
Three stages of a refurbishment carried out at Etwall Lodge, Derbyshire. Water damage being the cause damaging the ceiling, wall areas and cornice. All were restored ready for decoration.



The three pictures below show a rematch of a cornice again badly damaged by water. Templates were taken from the original cornice, manufactured and fitted making good ready for decoration.

Above: Shows a moulding being taken from The cornice was fitted and made good ready for decoration matching existing. The same procedure was carried out with the dado rail and skirting but was manufactured with hurculite plaster, to prevent chipping if knocked.
